On Monday this week in our Independent Living residents at Kings Langley were invited to a general information session organised with the office of our local member Mark Taylor MP to hear more about the  government initiative ‘Savings Finder’.  Attending with Mark Taylor MP were Mark Coure MP, NSW Minister for Seniors and Multiculturism, Kaylene O’Reilly and Joanne Crowe from Service NSW.

Residents heard first hand about the many savings now available to assist with the rising costs of living like Energy, Fuel, Transport and Lifestyle discounts and vouchers. Mr Coure MP communicated more about his ongoing objective to bring more relevant savings in to the program for seniors.

Representatives from Service NSW; Kaylene and Joanne gave a comprehensive presentation to communicate ‘Savings Finder’ in depth and offered to provide 1:1 meetings with residents so they can be fully equipped to receive all the available savings. We are currently planning a day in the near future to make this happen for our Independent Living residents.

Feedback from our residents regarding the initiative is very positive.

Our General Secretary, Greater Sydney Conference – Mr Cheonneth Strickland attended to show his interest and support for the resources being made available for seniors by the state Government.

We thanked our local member Mark Taylor MP for bringing the team of people to our Retirement Village to talk about ‘Savings Finder’ and especially for always making time in his busy diary for our Independent Living and Residential community, for which we are grateful.
