We recently received this lovely thank you from Alex, who is the son of Lioudmila, one of our independent living unit residents at Kings Langley.

Whilst Alex normally calls his mother every evening, he was unable to do so during his recent four month trip to the US to visit his grandchildren. During this time we made extra effort to ensure Lioudmila’s wellbeing by checking in on her every other day and also assisted to arrange additional community services for her.

Unfortunately, during this time Lioudmila had a fall in her unit and we had to organise for an ambulance to take her to hospital.  She had a fractured toe which meant walking with a physio boot on. Our integrated model means that we cater for all care needs – from independent living, through to respite and residential aged care all within the one village. Once she was out of hospital Lioudmila came to stay with us as a respite resident to help her recuperate. Being onsite we were able to move the items she needed into her room from her independent living unit so she she felt right at home in her new temporary home away from home.

While away, we were in constant contact with Alex via email and we were delighted to receive his thank you to the Independent Living Village Administrator and the team at Adventist Aged Care Kings Langley.
