This week on Tuesday 21 March, Harmony Day was celebrated at Kings Langley with vibrant colours, delicious food and music rejoicing in a sense of belonging for everyone. Our lovely staff dressed up in traditional costume and brought in dishes representing their heritage. Diversity was certainly the theme as everyone enjoyed, from our entire community of staff, residents and their families and friends. Big shout out to our Recreational Activities team for organising a wonderful Harmony day of celebration.  

“We have over 30 nationalities represented within our staff and our Residential Aged Care Facility and Retirement Village here at Kings Langley. We wanted to showcase the excitement this brings to our working lives and within the environment our residents live. My taste buds were tantalised to delightful food brought in by our staff. Our residents had great fun looking at the variety of our costumes and walls of cultural emblems. On a serious note, the message of inclusivity is most important for our senior citizens to feel that the home we provide –  feels a little like home” Savanthie Dias (Director of Care) said.
